The saga continues with Sienna Nealon, a metahuman, forced to contend with the Enemies of her kind. It's hard to believe that she is only eighteen years old and forced to be a leader against the oldest gods of our times. In this book we've come into contact with these gods...Hades, Janus, Athena, Bastet, Aphroditie, Eris, Hephaetus, Heimdall, Hera and the such. We learn that the Century is set on destroying all the metas of Alpha and Omega. There is so much carnage in this book, and with much battles. There is so much to watch as the events unfolds. More betrayals, more egos flaring up and all for the control of mankind (metas, humans and such). Goal: destroy the older order to bring about a new one, a better one for humans and metas.Nicely written, exciting and still has me wanting more. I'm glad to see the smart mouth Sienna is back. I love how she can think fast on her feet. Very refreshing. Still to invested to give up now. Awaiting to read book #8. Recommend to read, but get caught up with the older books in the series.
Crane once again writes a great story! My favorite was delving more into Mythology in this installment. Having more interaction with the "old" Gods was a good touch.I also really enjoyed getting to know Janus and I really hope he gets through his injury. For a few books now, we've thought there were clear lines of whose good and whose bad. The dictoriate being the good guys and Omega bad. Crane did an excellent job messing with our heads in this book. Nothing is a clear line anymore, it's more who is the lesser evil. I'm a fan of the group of Omega survivors so far and am excited to learn more about them. Now on too the next book for me. Great job Robert, thank you for writing this series!
While I did enjoy the story line of the 'Girl in the box' series, the author has some grammar and spelling issues throughout all the books. I took off a star rating for that because it made the book more difficult to read. Just when you become fully engrossed into the visual images the story portrays, the grammar and/or spelling issues appear and break the reader out of the submersion. Several times there were sentences that seemed to be two thoughts in one as if he changed how he wanted to write that particular line mid-sentence and just kept going. Maybe Robert J. Crane just needs a better editor, proof-reader?
This book should be on the top 10 list for sure. It is sure to rivot you to your seat. Sienna is on a journey to find and kill Erich Winters, her old boss. She has taken care of others who helped wrong her and caused her boyfriend to die at her hands. Now,she is struggling with herself to not believe that she is a monster. Janus, from Omega, has approached her to cut a deal with her so that she may get her hands on Erich Winter, but Sienna is unsure as to who to trust. As with all the books in this series, there is drama, action, and plenty of humor. Mr. Crane certainly knows how to draw a reader in and keep them wanting more and more. I will call him "The Stealer of Sleep" LOL. Keep the awesome books coming please. I am waiting to find out that maybe Sienna's dad is alive somewhere. Wolfe is hilarious as usual. Very enjoyable reading and you don't see the amateur editing here that you see in some other authors out there. Also, one of the greatest things is that if you have a question or something about Mr. Crane's books, you can talk to him on Facebook and he will actually answer you!!!! Very down to earth, easy going and funny man. Thanks Mr. Crane for all the awesome books you put out.
This entire series is very well written. Once you get into the first book, and I do recommend starting there, You will be jumping right into each following book. I truly had a hard time not calling into work, so I could finish the book. (I was a good girl though, had to earn $$ to buy the next book!) I am not into "reading" fight scenes. Usually it is just the same words over and over, or you feel like you are watching a Batman rerun from the 60's. NOT with Robert's stories! It's more like watching Matrix, in slow motion, with alot of humor thrown in! This girl, Sienna, is not someone I would enjoy being. But, her life is far from boring. It takes a very strong person to handle what is thrown at her. Robert has created a masterpiece of a series here...and I can't wait for the rest to come out! (Yes, I can wait Robert. I'd rather wait for a fantastic read, than get one that has plot errors and typos!)
TO My Sci-fi people this series will not disappoint..... you will laugh and cry the best read I've had in a while and the twist and turns keep you wanting more. I think they should turn this into a sci-fi series I would definitely make sure in watching
I LOVE this series and I've never read this genre before. I can't stop reading these books. Only complaint is that the author broke the series up into too many books. It's unnecessary. Unfortunately I'm hooked, so I will keep on buying and reading.
To be honest, I feel like Kindle Unlimited is playing me for a sucker, like the first three books really and truly free unlimited and then charging somewhat high prices to see the rest of the seven short books in the "Girl in the Box Series". But, unfortunately, I'm hooked on Sierra and am addicted to seeing her full story. Glad to see she has her good soul back and looking forward to the next book. Anyone noticing she is not getting injured so seriously anymore.
