I ordered this rather esoteric book for my musician husband as it was highly recommended by none other than Quincy Jones, musician/composer/arranger and legend. Read Quincy's interview in Esquire and he raves that he owes his genius to his study of this particular book when he was just starting his musical career. My husband loves this book. I want to note that Amazon quickly corrected a shipping snafu for me. Apparently the shipping label for my order was placed on the wrong package and I received a retractable clothesline instead of the book. I wrote to Amazon to explain that the shipping label matched my order but the package contents did not match my order. I received a replacement book the very next day! Thank you Amazon for fast customer service. I wonder if the person who ordered the clothesline was equally puzzled when they opened their package to find a Thesaurus of Scales and Melodic Patterns.

Great book. It takes the patterns of the original book and translates them for guitar which is pretty monumental.
